Cookies and browser storage
TurfBot uses browser local storage to remember text chat and a session identifier. Local storage is a device-storage technology; it is not a conventional cookie.
What the widget stores
Keys named turfbot-chat and turfbot-session-id, sometimes followed by a site label, hold text history and the identifier. Photos and the separate follow-up details form are kept in page memory rather than this history storage. Contact details typed into the conversation can be part of text history.
Stored values have a 24-hour validity period after each save. Expired values are removed when the widget next reads them. This is not a promise that the browser physically deletes data while the site is closed. The widget discards older history that lacks an expiry.
Your choices
Use Clear in the widget to reset its displayed conversation and identifier, or use browser settings to remove site data. This does not delete requests already submitted to the business. To request deletion of a submitted request, use the contact in our privacy notice.
Other services and websites
The website hosting TurfBot may use its own cookies, analytics and consent controls. Its notice applies to those tools. This page does not state that the host website or hosting providers use no cookies. The business hosting a live pilot is responsible for explaining its own storage choices and any consent controls. A request for technician follow-up is separate from permission for browser storage.
